Our Jewish Community has grown steadily since Julius Houseman settled here in 1852. Within five years, he and those who followed him had established the first Jewish organization in Grand Rapids--the Jewish Benevolent and Burial Society.
Today we continue to grow. Our community now includes these strong organizations:
